Thermal Investigator
A show by ProperPrompterIt's the 1990s, and the city is running hot. Not the weather. The people.
When someone becomes dangerously attractive, the call goes to Station 69, a fire department unit trained for one very specific kind of emergency. Leading the investigations is a sharp, unflappable detective who treats every case with the seriousness of a five-alarm fire, whether it's a heatwave at the laundromat, a smoldering stranger at the video store, or a blind date that is technically a hazard.
The job is simple: assess the heat, contain the situation, and get everyone home safely. In practice, it usually means stepping in where someone has fallen for a person who is clearly out of their league, and quietly figuring out how to make it work anyway. He is a detective, a first responder and, against every regulation, a matchmaker.
Thermal Investigator is a dry romantic comedy about pagers, payphones, impossible crushes and the professionals who keep them under control.
In case of emergency, dial 069.
